UIA Federal Communications Authority
The Federal Communications Authority (FCA) regulates broadcasting, telecommunications, and radio spectrum usage across the United Islands of Alto. The FCA ensures that communications infrastructure serves the public interest and that spectrum is allocated fairly among broadcasters, emergency services, and commercial operators.
Responsibilities
- Licensing of radio and television broadcast stations
- Allocation and management of radio frequency spectrum
- Regulation of telecommunications providers and services
- Establishing technical standards for communications equipment
- Coordination of emergency communication systems with the Alto Fire Department and Alto Police Department
- Consumer protection in telecommunications services
Broadcasting
All radio and television stations operating within UIA jurisdiction must hold a valid FCA broadcast license. License applications are reviewed based on technical qualifications, spectrum availability, and public interest considerations.
