About Us
The Alto Fire Department (AFD) provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and rescue operations across all municipalities within the United Islands of Alto. Founded alongside the city itself, AFD is committed to protecting life, property, and the environment through rapid emergency response and proactive community risk reduction.
AFD operates stations throughout the islands, ensuring response coverage for Alto's diverse geography — from dense downtown blocks to remote areas along Mt. Manchester and the outer islands. The department also plays a critical role in wildfire mitigation, given the islands' mix of urban and wildland environments.
